I am currently an assistant professor in the Department of Astronomy at Smith College, which is part of the larger ecosystem of the Five College Astronomy Department. My research involves the study of low-mass stars, brown dwarfs, and exoplanets, which I explore using the observational techniques of adaptive optics imaging, UV to NIR spectroscopy, and submillimeter interferometry. To read more about some of the current research projects I am working on, check out the Research page.

Prior to Smith, I was a STScI Prize Postdoctoral Fellow at Space Telescope Science Institute, working jointly on coronagraphic direct imaging of exoplanets and circumstellar disks with Hubble (STIS) and JWST (MIRI and NIRCam). I was previously a Five College Research and Education Postdoctoral Fellow at Amherst College, which involved both research and instruction of upper-division observational astronomy courses (for more on this unique postdoctoral position, click here!), which gave me great opportunities to work with and mentor excellent undergraduate student researchers.
